Asus has slowly and
steadily picked up its pace and has become on of the go to brands when it comes
to budget phone with mammoth features. This time Asus brings in a phone with
the thing todays generation is crazed about “Selfies”!! As the name goes
Zenfone “Selfie” is focused towards proving world class selfies, however this
shouldn’t put a cloud to its other features which this phone has to offer.
Coming to the main
thing first the Zenfone selfie has a 13Mp camera both on the back as well as
the front. It also houses dual led flash on both the sides. The camera has
Toshiba sensors and Largan lens. Laser focusing is becoming one the major
features for a great camera phone and the Zenfone Selfie has this which helps in
faster focusing of the camera. The camera app comes with a lot of different
shooting modes such as the Beautification, Hdr, Manual, Night, Low Light And
Depth Of Field.
The front camera comes with Asus
pixelmaster technology that’s helps to capture great images. The front camera
has an 88-degree-wide-angle lens and you can easily fit in lot of people in the
frame. The image taken from the front camera were very good in the day light
but not so good in low light or night conditions.
The rear camera has the same image
quality as the front but the Depth of Field option works really well with the
rear camera and gives great images. The camera takes better images than the
front one, in low light conditions. The phone however takes a lot of time to process
these images so that’s one thing which may cause a bit of trouble while taking
quick shots.
Moving to other aspects the phone
has a 5.5 inch screen which a bit difficult for one hand use, bu the asus one
hand feature make it somewhat convenient. The viewing angles aren’t that great,
but the brightness and contrast level are pretty good. The phone is clocked at
1.7 Ghz of processor and 3Gb ram with a storage capacity of 32 Gb. Zenfone
Selfie is able to handle all apps and games thrown its way. Even heavy games
like Asphalt 8 do not stress the chipset, as it handles the resource hog with
ease. Unlike the Snapdragon Xiaomi Mi4i, the smartphone does not heat up much.
Let’s take a look at some of the basic
specification of the phone:
Asus has given a few options
personalization options, like customizing what toggles to show when you bring
down the notifications bar. You can also select what long-pressing the Tasks
key will do: take a screenshot, show menu, or do nothing. The software also
lets you choose where to store apps when you download them: internal storage or
microSD card.
Let's have a look at the Pros and Cons of the Zenfone Selfie:
