In the past people have been highly crucial about Samsung phones, regardless of impressive specs, their persistently plastic construction left us cold, especially when the likes of Apple, Sony and HTC offered “dhaasu design” of glass and metal. With the Samsung Galaxy S6 series, this is no longer an issue.

The “bekar plastic” is gone and in is the metal edges and front and back glass, which is a delight to look on and handle. The screen is 5.1 inch, which is super sharp and great to look at. One thing to point is that it has a ppi of 580, which is mind-blowing. Colours are vivid and attractive on the whole. Samsung is one step ahead when it comes to the audio on the Samsung S6. The audio quality is by the best among other top phones.

It seems that Samsung has learnt a lot from its previous outings. Not only is the build and performance outstanding but the phone itself is “pyaara” to use. The 64 bit processor and 3 GB of ram is a powerful “Jodi” making the operation accelerated yet stable and showing no signs of lag. The phone has a 16MP snapper at the back that takes impressive picture both in low as well as properly light conditions.
S6 : Camera sample.

Taking a look at some of its basic features:

Features
Details
Remarks
Screen
5.1 inch Super Amoled
It is a great display with a ppi 580, which is the best in class.
Os
Android 5.0.2. , upgradable to 5.1.1.
It is snappy and stable, no lags while multi tasking.
Camera
16 Mp back and 5Mp front
It takes the best pictures, the image quality is quite impressive.
Battery
2550 battery.
The battery is just decent lasts a day on normal use.
Connectivity
4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth and NFC
Packed with all connectivity features.

Our only misgiving about the Samsung Galaxy S6 is that it’s now a sealed device, meaning you can’t remove the back to swap batteries or add memory cards as you could with previous Galaxy phones. The battery is not the last word in longevity, lasting 10 hours of video with half brightness and wi-fi connected – but it does charge at a ridiculously fast speed. Ten minutes plugged in gets you four hours of juice. Here below are some of the pros and cons of the phone:
Pros:
  Premium build
  Excellent screen
  Great sound quality
  Best in class camera.
Cons:
  Battery could have been better.
  No SD support.

Final Verdict:

Finally Samsung has moved out of plastic making and brought a phone that has sophistication and “adbhut” multimedia capabilities. This is easily one of the best smartphones of 2015. However, if you don’t have a budget of Rs. 42000/- at which the S6 is priced you can go for the OnePlus 1 or 2 which have similar features but at half the price.
