The zenfone 5 was the most successful phone offered by Asus,
hence there next big offering Zenfone 2 has a lot to cover. The Zenfone 2 comes
in three variant and the most powerful of the lot being the 4GB ram version.
Like the android legacy the zenfone 2 is bigger than its predecessor, both in
terms of size and design.
The zenfone 2 has a curvy design, in place of sharp one that
is found on the zenfone 5. The volume rocker have moved to the back making way
for a “patla and halka” phone. However the power button has been shifted to the
top making it impossible for one hand use. On the back it has metal finish with
gloss finish which does hamper the grip of the phone.
The phone has a 5.5 inch screen which is big enough for
video playback and high end is gaming. The pixel density has also gone up which
has helped in improving the display overall. The phone has various variant but
the most talked about is the 4GB ram version which has a 32GB internal storage,
basically it can act as your laptop if you want to use it extensively. Clocking
a speed of 2.3 Ghz at that Ram it is “tufani” in terms of speed and usage. You
will hardly notice any lag in the user interface what so ever.
The phone come with a 13Mp camera on the back and a 5Mp on
the front for clicking sellfies. The phone camera has number of shooting moods
and which however people in day to day use don’t use them. Asus claim that
their new technology PixelMaster offers gives great images however the
performance is just average. Taking a look at some of the basic features of the
zenfone 2:

The company has made one hand use impossible due to the
large screen, however they have tried to make thing simply by giving inbuilt
software that make the entire screen shrink so that the user can use it with
one hand. It even provides user to double tap to lock and unlock the phone as
way to make one hand use possible. The other thing to look for is that whether
people actually need such large amount of ram and processor for their normal
day to day use. Its really “Daam dar” but whether we need such specification is
in question. Taking a look at some of the pros and cond of the zenfone 2:

Final verdict:
Priced at Rs. 19999/- it is a superb phone and
has a lot to flaunt. It has a terrific value for money proposition and is one
of the main reasons behind its huge success. If you multitask heavily,
definitely go for the Zenfone 2. However, if you're not crazy about RAM, the
2nd Moto X offers a brilliant screen in this price range. Those into
photography, should consider the Lumia 830.
